Welcome to the 1st Annual SLO Fire Invitational Mini-Tournaments.
Our Concept
We wanted to create a family-friendly, low-cost tournaments that enables teams to play quality matches against appropriate competition. Insted of a full weekend tournament, we created a series of one-day mini-tournaments in June, July and August.
Tournament Format*
Our tournament consists of one-day mini-tournaments. These tournaments will be three team round-robins played on a Saturday or Sunday in June, July or August.
* - we have been promoting a tournament format with three independant preliminary rounds played May-July and a championship weekend played in August, but have found that people preferred to travel for one weekend. Consequently we have altered our format to play one-day mini-tournaments.
Family Friendly
Tired of traveling to a nice area and spending all of your time on the pitch and not getting a chance to take in the local happenings? All of our games are played in one day. Pick the month that works for your team, come play some good soccer and then enjoy yourself.
Our earliest game time is 10 a.m. That will either allow you to travel up early in the morning and avoid purchasing a hotel room, or sleep in if you come up the night before.
No games start after 5:30. The latest you will get on the road is 7 p.m., so you will get home late, but you can choose to not spend the night in a hotel and keep your costs down. Or rent a room and have the other weekend day to enjoy San Luis Obsipo, Pismo Beach, Hearst Castle, etc.

**These are 2007-08 age groups. After August 1, 2008, these teams will actually be one year older.
Awards
Each player will receive a SLO Fire Inviational Soccer backpack with the winners of the weekend receiving a champion SLO Fire Invitaitonal backpack.
Venues
Our games will be played at a variety of venues depending on the weekend, but all facilities are played on quality pitches. We utilize Cuesta College, Damon Garcia Sports Complex and the Talley Farm fields.
